Unfortunately, we cannot verify the extent of your coverage, as insurance companies only disclose this information to the policyholder.
Do i need a doctors referral to see an Registered Massage Therapist?
You are not required to obtain a doctor’s referral to schedule an appointment. However, certain insurance providers may necessitate a referral for reimbursement purposes. It is advisable to verify your insurance policy before booking an appointment.
What if i need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
To cancel or reschedule your session, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. If you cancel late or do not show up within this timeframe, you will be charged the full session fee.
What is the payment process for treatments
During your first visit, it is necessary to provide a credit card for your records, regardless of whether your insurance covers the full treatment cost. This credit card will be utilized for all subsequent charges, including any outstanding balances after valid claims have been processed.
Is massage painful?
Experiencing some soreness following a massage is quite common. This sensation is often attributed to the release of lactic acid in the muscles, but it typically subsides quickly. Additionally, you might encounter some discomfort during the session, which can vary based on the specific areas being treated, any existing pain, and the amount of pressure applied by the therapist. If you find the pressure to be excessive, do not hesitate to communicate this to the therapist, as you can request a reduction in pressure at any point if it becomes too uncomfortable.
Do i have to take my clothes off?
No, our therapists will only request that you remove clothing to the extent that you are comfortable. If you prefer to keep your underwear on, that is perfectly acceptable.
The therapist will step out of the room while you change and will offer towels and blankets to ensure your comfort during the massage. Additionally, there are certain massage techniques that can be performed while you remain fully clothed, so please feel free to discuss your preferences with us prior to making a reservation.
What’ll happens at my first massage?
Yes! A good massage therapist will check in with you during your massage to make sure the pressure is okay.
Be mindful that massage doesn’t have to cause you pain to be effective. Some massage techniques are pretty gentle. But do speak up and ask your therapist if you’d like more or less pressure during your session. We won’t be offended!
I’m self-conscious about _____. What should I do?
Many individuals have certain areas of their bodies that they feel self-conscious about. Common concerns may include weight, unwanted body hair, scars, acne, or other skin imperfections.
However, these feelings should not deter you from seeking assistance from a massage therapist. If you have specific sensitivities regarding certain areas, feel free to request that they be avoided. Additionally, you can choose to receive a fully clothed massage. Regardless of your concerns, rest assured that your therapists are welcoming, understanding, and non-judgmental.
Should I see a Massage Therapist if I’m not in pain?
Massage therapy is highly effective for promoting relaxation, but its advantages extend far beyond that. It plays a significant role in alleviating chronic muscle discomfort and pain. Additionally, massage therapy is beneficial for reducing stress and relieving muscle tension. It enhances circulation, aids in addressing respiratory issues, lowers blood pressure, mitigates headaches, and improves overall mobility and well-being. Furthermore, it can assist in managing anxiety and depression, while also fostering better sleep quality.
Depending on your specific needs, your registered massage therapist may employ various techniques or modalities. There is a wide range of massage therapies available, such as Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Thai Yoga Massage, Deep Myofascial Release, Joint Mobilization, Hydrotherapy, Heated Bamboo Massage, Cupping, Reflexology, among others.
What’ll happens at my first massage?
You will be requested to complete a health history form to inform us of any current issues or objectives you would like us to address. Your therapist will perform an interview and assessment based on your specific concerns. Following this, we will provide you with privacy to ensure your comfort, regardless of whether you choose to remove your clothing. Should you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
